Kidetok Primary School-Serere

However Eastern regions of Uganda are continuously ranked lowest in terms of school performance and literacy. Only 30% of the children who enter primary school go on to complete their primary school Education according to Africa Education Trust (2010-2014).

One More Hope Uganda visited Kidetok Primary School on the 16th November 2018. A school with over 2000 pupils many of whom dropout due to lack of school requirements including uniforms, books and pens. Our team made a discovery that the school had a growing big number of vulnerable children. For example our team registered 40 pupils orphans like an amazing little boy called Ogirot. He was an orphan and disabled too but loves school so much. Even without sight, he had a dream of going to school smartly dressed in a uniform, we made his dreams a reality. Donations included uniforms and scholastic materials which included pens, pencils, books, erasers, mathematical sets and school uniforms. Our team was over whelmed by their big numbers which was a great challenge. More donations are desperately needed in this community.
